Dustin Johnson celebrates after his 11 shot win at TPC Boston
Norton, Massachusetts - Dustin Johnson fired rounds of 67-60-64-63 routing a stellar playoff field by 11 shots at TPC Boston to capture the Northern Trust.
Entering Sunday with a 5 stoke lead, Johnson stretched his lead early with an eagle on the par 5 - 2nd hole en route to front nine 30 on his way to PGA Tour career victory no.22. DJ's two-putt from off the green on the 72nd hole capped off a tournament record 30 under par total.
"I hit it just as good on Thursday, but just didn't make the putts," said Johnson. "My ball-striking was unbelievable."
With the win, DJ moved to the top of the Fedex Cup standings heading into playoff #2 in Chicago and to No.1 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Harris English finished solo 2nd at 19 under par after a final round 69.
