Hudson Swafford celebrates his win at the Corales Championship
Dominican Republic - It looked like Hudson Swafford would cruise to a drama free easy victory at the Corales Championship at Puntacana, until he made double-bogey on the par 4 thirteenth. When the 33 year old journeyman left the door open, Mackenzie Hughes stepped in, tying the lead after a two stroke swing on the fifteenth hole.
Swafford righted the ship, making birdie on the seventeenth and headed to the last with a one-stroke lead, but he gave himself a testy finish when he left his birdie putt several feet short. Swafford managed to two putt for his par to finish alone at 18 under par for his second career title on the PGA Tour.
Tyler McCumber finished solo second after firing a final round 66, while the Canadian Mackenzie Hughes bogeyed the last to finish third.
54 hole leader Adam Long struggled on Sunday, finishing fifth after a 74.
