Robert Streb celebrates after winning again at Sea Island.
St.Simons Island, Georgia - Robert Streb is finally a winner on the PGA Tour again after he won the RSM Classic in a playoff at Sea Island on Sunday. Streb, who also won the RSM back in 2014, beat Kevin Kisner on the second playoff hole to capture the win at Sea Island Golf Resort. Both players finished at 19 under par in regulation, Kisner fired a final round 63 that vaulted him up leaderboard. Streb's final-round 68, was enough to force extra holes. After both made par on the first attempt, it was Streb’s clutch approach on the second that left a tap in for birdie, while Kisner could do no better than par.
"It was tough. I felt like things were starting to get a little better and I wasn’t quite getting the results, but I wasn’t expecting this, either,’ said Streb. "It’s really nice to say I’ve got more than one. Winning more than once validates what ability you have. It was just kind of unexpected and super nice to get."
Cameron Tringale shot a sizzling 8 under par 62 on Sunday to finish solo third at 18 under par. Scores: https://www.pgatour.com/leaderboard.html
