Tyrrell Hatton celebrates after winning the HSBC Championship

Abu Dhabi - Tyrrell Hatton notched his sixth European Tour title in

winning the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship on Sunday. Hatton

began the day a stroke behind 54 hole-leader Rory McIlroy, which

set the stage for an eventful final round clash. Hatton started fast,

making three birdies on the outward nine to gain momentum over

the Ulsterman.

The back nine failed to deliver the highly anticipated drama, as

McIlroy faltered bogeying the 16th, Hatton surged - making 3

more birdies on the inward side to seize command of the HSBC

Championship.

The Englishman carded a bogey-free six-under-par 66 for a total

score of 18 under par, four-shots ahead of the Aussie Jason Scrivener,

who finished solo second, while McIlroy finished a further stroke back

with his final-round 72.
