Branden Grace wins at the Links of Fancourt, in South Africa

South Africa - A week after capturing his first European title at the Joburg

Open, South African Branden Grace battled his idols, Ernie Els and Retief

Goosen in a playoff at the Volvo Golf Champions, in South Africa.

All three players finished at -12 in regulation, but in the playoff it was

Grace who took charge over his boyhood heroes.Grace and Retief Goosen

found the short grass from the tee, Els was in the left rough and forced to

lay up. Els would hit his approach to 15 feet in 3 shots, Goosen was short

right of the green and failed to chip close resulting in a par. Branden Grace

would find the front right of the green and two putt for his birdie 4.Els had a

putt to extend the playoff, but he missed, leaving Grace with a tap in and his

second title in two weeks.




La Quinta, California - Mark Wilson fired a Sunday final round 69 to capture the

Humana Challenge by two strokes on Sunday.


It was Wilson's fifth career win on the PGA Tour, he finished at 24 under par at the

Palmer Course at PGA West.


Johnson Wagner, John Mallinger and Robert Garrigus finished tied for second at 266.
