Team USA celebrates after capturing the 47th Walker Cup at Royal Liverpool

Hoylake, England - Team USA rebounded from a two point deficit (7-5)

after Day1 to win the 47th Walker Cup at Royal Liverpool over Great Britain

& Ireland 15 1/2 to 10 1/2. It was the first win for Team USA on foreign

soil since 2007. It also marked the largest margin of victory in an away

Sunny and mild conditions over the two days of matches made for great

spectating for the 11, 000+ fans that made their way out to Hoylake. USA

retains the Walker Cup trophy after a lopsided 19 - 7 win at Los Angeles

Country Club in 2017.

It was the afternoon singles that clinched the triumph for the Red, White

& Blue, with the Americans winning 8 of the 10 singles matches. "The

singles were amazing," said Team USA Captain Nathaniel Crosby. "The

guys played great."

The Walker Cup resumes with it's 48th edition May 8-9, 2021 at famed

Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach.
