Cabin bookings guarantee tee times at acclaimed Nebraska course.
HOMER, NEBRASKA, NOVEMBER 12, 2024 – The acclaimed Landmand Golf Club in north-eastern Nebraska has launched the Landmand Layover stay and play package, which guarantees golfers who book a night in the course’s cabins two rounds on the course, which sold out its entire 2024 tee time inventory in less than three hours.
The Layover packages go on sale at 8am CST on Monday 18 November, some six weeks in advance of Landmand’s launch of its tee time bookings for 2025, which happens on New Year’s Eve. The cabins, located below the eighteenth fairway of the golf course, each contains four bedrooms.
General manager Adam Fletcher said: “We have launched these Layover packages to give more golfers the option to play 36 holes while staying on property. Given the pressure on our inventory, which has increased in the two full seasons we have been open, a number of the guests who were staying in our cabins have said they would have liked to play an additional round, but tee times were not available. These packages provide a first look at the 2025 tee sheet, guaranteeing golfers who book them 36 holes. Our goal is to allow guests to choose their ideal rounds, but we should note that, although booking the package guarantees you two tee times, precisely when those tee times will be will not be guaranteed – it is first come, first served. As this is a new concept for 2025, we are wading into new waters, but we expect the Layover packages to be very popular.”
Landmand Layover packages can be booked from 8am CST Monday 18 November by visiting the course’s website, www.landmandgc.com. The 2025 season runs from May 17 to September 28.
- Pronounced ‘Landman’, ‘Landmand’ is the Danish word for a farmer. The eighteen year old Karl Andersen came to the US from Denmark in the early 1920s, and settled in eastern Nebraska. Over four generations, the Andersen family has become a major farming operation in the area. The family developed the Old Dane golf course in 2012, and Landmand will be its second such operation. Despite this move into the golf business, farming will remain the backbone of the Andersen operation. The family is wholly committed to the area and community of eastern Nebraska, and hopes this new endeavour will bring it to new heights.
