Galway Bay has identified what most golfers dislike about all-weather gear – and set out to remedy the problem. Most golf rain jackets have a high collar to keep rain from going down your back, but in the front, when fully zipped, the collar is a nuisance jabbing you in the chin. Galway Bay’s jacket has the high collar in the back but tapers down to 1.25” in the front and is rounded off. It’s a small detail that enhances your time on the links.

Testing: Our first experience wearing the GB All-Weather short sleeve jacket (we combined with a layering of compression long sleeve and a golf polo underneath) was about as comfortable and unbothersome as you could be swinging a club in wet and blustery conditions. Unbulky and lightweight, we stayed completely dry and never felt restricted during play. After just one round of wear I determined this jacket won’t be left home on any future golf trip – in fact when we head out to Monterey, California and the Bay Area to tick off some bucket list golf experiences in a few weeks, the Galway Bay short sleeve will be the go-to weatherproof jacket that makes the journey to the west coast.
