Pinehurst No.11 Update – The Sandmines Story Continues.

 Pinehurst Resort
Pinehurst No. 11 continues to take shape at Pinehurst Sandmines, bringing a new Coore & Crenshaw design to one of the most distinctive landscapes in the North Carolina Sandhills. Set among former mining spoils, ridges, mature trees and naturally reclaimed landforms, No. 11 feels intimate, strategic and deeply connected to the land around it.

While No. 10 introduced guests to the bold, expansive character of Sandmines, No. 11 offers a different expression of the property. The course winds through trees, crosses old sandy ridges and leans into the site’s natural texture, creating a companion to No. 10 that contrasts as much as it complements. Coming Spring 2027. No. 11 and Sandmines Lodging Reservations Available Fall 2026.

“No. 11 will enjoy a shockingly mature feel from day one. You have 15-40ft trees growing out of mining spoils left decades ago.”-Ran Morrisett (Co-Founder Golf Atlas)

“On No.11, it feels like the undulations will be in play and part of the experience of playing there is how you can use them.”-Ryan Barnett (Photographer)

“Kind of makes you question where you are and what is this place?”-Ryan Farrow (Lead Design Associate)
