TROON ACQUIRES CADDIENOW

Scottsdale, Ariz. (July 8, 2024) – Troon®, the leader in providing golf and club-related leisure and hospitality services, is pleased to announce it has acquired Lincoln, Nebraska-based CaddieNow, a caddie technology and management company which currently partners with over 50 clubs in 25 states. By adding CaddieNow to its current caddie services division, that includes CADDIEMASTER and ClubUp, Troon can offer private clubs, public courses and resorts a full complement of caddie solutions based on a property’s individual needs.

“We are thrilled to welcome CaddieNow into the Troon family of brands,” said Troon President and CEO Tim Schantz. “Whether at private clubs, resorts or daily-fee courses, the demand for caddie programs and caddie program solutions continues to increase. With CADDIEMASTER, ClubUp and CaddieNow we can assist facilities in a variety of ways, including self-management models, third-party caddie management or simply providing the technology necessary to better manage a caddie program.”

Former CaddieNow President and COO Tommy Joyce recently joined the CADDIEMASTER team as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer. Joyce is an accomplished PGA Professional with extensive business experience in the caddie services and staffing industry.

“This acquisition begins a new and exciting chapter for us,” said Dan Costello, President of CADDIEMASTER. “With the recent addition of Tommy, plus the other talented people from CaddieNow joining the family, we are poised to further improve upon the caddie experience, and more importantly, the caddies’ prevalence in the game.”

CADDIEMASTER, a Troon Company located in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., is the premier provider of caddie services, including turnkey management, technology, as well as consulting solutions. With clients such as Pebble Beach, Pinehurst Resort, Whistling Straits and roughly 70 other resort destinations and private clubs throughout the country and abroad, the very best properties partner with CADDIEMASTER to elevate their golf experience.

In July 2022, Troon acquired ClubUp, a leading golf technology company. ClubUp provides partner clubs and resorts with innovative technology, which helps improve the caddie experience for club staff, golfers and caddies. ClubUp technology offers a more efficient way to schedule and communicate with caddies working at a partner club property. The improved communication and efficient logistics provided by ClubUp technology yield significant productivity improvements for caddie programs. In addition to the caddie technology, ClubUp is now working with clubs to improve outside service operations by providing GPS technology, pace of play tools and a staff-scheduling platform.
