Zero Friction Partners with Top Neurologist Dr. Conor O’Brien to Create the TheraTec™ Golf Glove

OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL  – Zero Friction founder John Iacono has partnered with Dr.Conor O’Brien, an internationally renowned medical expert in Sports Medicine & Peripheral Nerve Disease, to create the new TheraTec™ golf glove made specifically for golfers who suffer with wrist and hand pain.“Golf injuries are on the rise due to increased playing and practice time. The TheraTec glove is constructed to assist in protecting the hand and wrist from microtrauma during the golf swing,” said John Iacono, Founder and President of Zero Friction.The new glove was medically-designed by Dr. O’Brien to help golfers recover faster and play longer, and is constructed with universal, compression-fit technology which Zero Friction is known for throughout the industry.


The new TheraTec golf glove, which will be marketed and distributed by Zero Friction, is available in two versions.  The first one (TheraTec, $21.99) offers a heavily padded palm to assist those with carpal tunnel and bone injury. A second version (TheraTec Wrist, $24.99) offers the same padded palm, but also includes a wrist strap.  Both versions of the TheraTec glove are made with cooper-infused Lycra.

Dr. Conor O’Brien, MD, MSc., FRCPI, FFSEM is an internationally renowned medical expert in Sports Medicine & Peripheral Nerve Disease. While in practice for more than 30 years in Ireland, he also trained in the USA and UK.  Dr. O’Brien was Team Physician to the Irish Olympic Team and has worked with numerous international athletes and sports teams. During his years in practice, Dr. O’Brien has written a number of books on Sports Medicine as well as lecturing internationally on the subject. He holds both American and European qualifications in Sports Medicine. He is a competitive golfer and former rugby player.Zero Friction is introducing two other golf products at next week’s PGA Show.
