• Cards the low 72-hole score since the Cognizant Classic moved to PGA National (The Champion) in 2007; one stroke shy of  the Cognizant Classic 72-hole record (264/Justin Leonard/Country Club at Mirasol (Sunset)/2003) 

• Cards the low final 36 holes (128) in Cognizant Classic history (previous: 129/Blaine McCallister/TPC Eagle Trace/1989) • Becomes the first left-handed winner on TOUR since Matt McCarty (2024 Black Desert Championship) • 17th player to earn his first PGA TOUR win at the Cognizant Classic; fifth in the last seven years

• Moves to No. 59 in the Official World Golf Ranking after starting the week at No. 170 

• Earns a spot in the five remaining Signature Events of 2025, the 2025 Masters Tournament, 2025 PGA Championship and  2026 Sentry 

Miscellaneous notes 

Jacob Bridgeman matched the low round of the day (64) to finish T2 at 17-under; earns his first top-10 finish on TOUR in his  37th start (previous best finish: T11/2024 Sanderson Farms Championship) 

J.J. Spaun earns his second top-three of the season in seven starts with a T2 finish (previous: T3/Sony Open in Hawaii) • Jake Knapp, who held the solo lead after each of the first three rounds, closes with 1-over 72 including triple bogey on the  par-4 11th, to finish T6 at 15-under 

• 2014 Cognizant Classic winner Russell Henley finished T6 at 15-under; his fourth top-10 finish at this event in 11 starts;  third top-10 of the 2025 season in five starts on TOUR 

• Two days after reaching 20 points to earn PGA TOUR membership via PGA TOUR University Accelerated, amateur Luke  Clanton closes with 69 to finish T18 at 9-under; earns his sixth top-25 finish in 12 PGA TOUR starts

• The top 10 FedExCup points earners through the Cognizant Classic will earn spots in the Arnold Palmer Invitational  presented by Mastercard via the Aon Next 10. 

• The top five FedExCup points earners in the Mexico Open at VidantaWorld and Cognizant Classic will earn spots in the  Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard via the Aon Swing 5. 

• The Aon Next 10 and Aon Swing 5 are eligibility pathways for players, not already qualified, to play their way into  Signature Events via the FedExCup standings.
