PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA – MARCH 24: Midway through Season 2 of TGL, Los Angeles Golf Club looked like they were trending upwards, when the regular season ended, they looked like the team to beat. That held true in the Finals vs Jupiter Links, even a comeback by 15 time major champion couldn’t overcome the dominant team from the City of Angels. After Monday’s 6-5 victory, Los Angeles Golf Club started slow in match 2, down 2-0 thru 5 holes, but from that point on, they crushed the home team, with nine unanswered points on their way to a 9-2 victory over Jupiter Links Golf Club.

Justin Rose, Sahith Theegala and Tommy Fleetwood, beat the Jupiter team of Max Homa, Tom Kim and Tiger Woods by closing with three consecutive eagles and with four consecutive Hammer wins.

If Monday was a survival test, Tuesday was a drubbing with all three LA players contributing multiple highlights from hole 6 on (Stinger) – Rose hit his approach inside 7 ft – LA threw the Hammer, then Theegala made the birdie for two points.

Hole 7 (Cenote) – Fleetwood made par from 4ft earning a point when Tiger missed his putt from just over 3ft.

Hole 8 (Bluebonnet) – Theegala hit a 308-yard tee shot onto the green 11 ft away, and Fleetwood made the eagle putt for another point.

Hole 9 (The Jup Life) – Jupiter Links threw the Hammer, Rose hit the approach to almost 14ft and Theegala made eagle for two points.

Hole 10 (The Spear) – Both teams threw Hammers here, Rose hit to 4 1/2 ft for a conceded eagle to earn three points and clinching the title.

When asked afterwards, if it meant more to win this title playing against Woods, Justin Rose offered up his thoughts, “For sure. I think it was going to be a special night seeing him back. Special night for golf. He does bring so much to it. I was just looking at it curious like yeah, it would be great to see where he’s at. He looked impressive. I don’t think he hit a bad shot. The only bad shot he hit was not a bad shot; it was just too good a shot almost with a wedge that went too far. But his fairway woods — everything looked great. So from a ball-striking point of view — obviously the putting, missed a short one, that’s the bit that kind of shows if you

In season 3, TGL will expand by two teams, and the WGTL (Women’s League) will launch with two franchises already announced – Atlanta, and Los Angeles (which was announced during the finals on Tuesday.
