Adidas Golf’s CODECHAOS 22 is the latest evolution of their line of edgy performance spikeless golf footwear. Each generation has upped the ante on Adi’s mission to do their part for environmental sustainability – using at least 50% recycled materials to produce their breathable and waterproof mesh upper.
The ’22 edition features extreme comfort, progressive styling, and full-length BOOST for maximum foot comfort and energy return on the links, available in both standard lace up and BOA closure systems (above).
The combination of Twist Grip outsole with Adi’s GripMore rubber treads handles the heavy lifting for secure turf traction even on the most aggressive swings. Standard Lace available in 7 colors (Cloud White/Core Black/Beam Yellow shown top image), BOA is available in 3 colors (Grey 3/Impact Orange shown above).
Designed for dynamic movement, the micro-adjustable BOA® Fit System is engineered to deliver a precise fit, while the zipper enclosure keeps your feet dry from the elements, and provides a tidy aesthetic.
Who are they for? Any golfer of course, but especially those linksters that demand performance, comfort, and weatherproofing in a cutting-edge style. These aren’t your classic old wingtips, and in an age of outside-the-box footwear technology and divergent styles, today’s footwear designers are innovating products that have environmental stability in mind. Adidas and designer Masun Denison are pioneers in the industry.
CODECHAOS 22 is instant right out-of-the-box comfort, and who doesn’t appreciate the cushy energy return of a full-length BOOST midsole dressed up in a rad mesh upper? True sizing, standard Fit, so feel free to order online without any surprises, but we still can’t decide if we prefer the lace or BOA version. There are very few no-compromise spikeless offerings in the industry, and these may easily be the “best in class”. Perhaps the ideal compliment you can pay a shoe is when you choose to bring them along on a much-anticipated golf trip. On recent trips to Seattle, Ireland, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, they were along for the ride. After several rounds, CODECHAOS 22 has proved to be quite sturdy and worthy of its price point – Standard Lace Up $160 / BOA $200.
