With over five decades of experience in the synthetic turf industry, SafePlay Golf knows that quality craftsmanship and a commitment to excellence can make a real difference in your golf practice experience. SafePlay Golf features premium driving range mats with LSR Z-Pro fibers and a patented quad backing system for durability. The company also has custom indoor putting greens and synthetic turf for your landscape project, creating versatile spaces that provide an ideal alternative to the high maintenance of real grass.

Monster Mat’s Polypropylene Z-Pro fiber is dense and stays upright, even after thousands of swings, and is suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
Features:
- Crimped fibers = springy, self-stiffening turf response.
- Non-directional fiber orientation avoids compression.
- Fiber composition sheds (not absorbs) moisture, reducing life-shortening bacteria growth.
- Closed-cell support layer provides comfort and long performance life.
- Random, crimped & curved blades look and feel natural.
- UV-stabilized fibers prevent color transfer to the face of the club.
- Non-crush composition avoids low, worn-out spots.

Testing
We’ve tested several different brands and types of practice/range mats for over 20 years, and there aren’t many that we’d recommend. We have several practice mats from various brands at our HQ in South Florida, and I have my own personal set up at home with a practice net and short a par 3 we built on the property that tips out at 72 yards. Most of the synthetic mats we’ve tested negatively affect your hands, wrists and elbow joints . . . so reviews like this begin with some skepticism about how each mat will feel at impact, and affect my ailing elbow and wrist.
We installed the Monster Mat at our home practice setup where we can hit every club in the bag (Monster Mat comes with pre-cut holes for the included rubber tees holders for when you want to tee one up). We dropped the Monster mat right on top of the old one we had been using. The first impression was – this is different than any other mat that we’ve ever hit from. The synthetic blades are crimped offering a springy feel and crisp feedback – you know instantly if you compressed the ball or made a less than stellar pass at it. The clubhead won’t bounce off or get stuck either, like most you’ll find at ranges and TopGolf facilities. The base is a rubber pad, but it’s relatively light and easy to move.
Another major plus, fibers don’t transfer to the sole of your golf club, so no scrubbing the soles of your irons after your session. The non-directional orientation of fibers keeps the lie consistent on every attempt. The best endorsement of any product is becoming a customer. After the 8th or 9th session, we’ll be deciding how many Monster Mats we need for our practice facility at the HQ – hands down the finest practice mat we’ve ever tested. . . and your elbows and wrists will be happier for it.
SafePlay offers a one-year unconditional warranty on their Monster Mat, and if you don’t agree that it’s the finest surface that you have ever hit from, they will refund your $$$.
